Lot's of competetion out there. I noticed that to be assured of Christmas, and I presume Hanukah, delivery, you had to order from Voodoo Authentica two weeks ahead of time, the hurricane and all. Imagine, a Voodoo shop, with a holiday shipping schedule.
I probably shouldn't make fun, just in case.
Again, what is C.E?
My guess, you know the answers to these questions, totally unrelated to the thread, perfectly well.
Why do you ask?
It's actually the perfect holiday for those Christian/Jewish couples who no longer practice either religion. It's a strictly secular holiday.
Check out their website. Strange stuff, especially the dolls. I can't imagine their customers worrying about holiday delivery, though there are likely holidays I don't know about.
Songwriter Dave White was with Danny & the Juniors ("At the Hop", 1957).
This article illustrates why Dr. Laura calls them "Interfaithless Marriages."
Yo! Glock! #3...!!! :)
Well, there's a slight difference. Except for a few isolated majority-Jewish cities (Kiryas Joel, New York; Deal, New Jersey etc.) it would be abosolutely ridiculous to suggest that a a government menorah suggests that a 90%+ Christian town is somehow establishing Judaism. That being said, obviously a menorah is a religious symbol. Indeed, it's probably the most religious symbol affiliated with Judaism.

This is my view as well. I do not have a problem with interfaith couples celebrating Hanukkah AND Christmas as they have nothing to do with one another. However, there is NO SUCH THING as Chrismukkah and it is an insult to both Jew and Christian alike. Also, Christmas is a very holy celebration of the birth of our Lord. Hanukkah is not really a religious holiday at all in the manner of Roshashana or Yom Kippur. This is just another way to lower the importance of Christmas.
