My guess is that she spent a lot of time sunbathing and probably smoked, as well. That happens, and it's just aging (which happens to us all), although she seems to have progressed a bit rapidly.
Progressed rapidly? She's 71! Most people look old at 71. Except Jane Fonda, who is, by all appearances, an android. ;~D
