"I imagine they use some of those profits to hire lobbyists to ensure the moolah keeps rolling in to their coffers."

"We learned to believe in the United States. We have a binational life," he said of Zacatecas, a state that has been sending migrants north for more than a century. "It isn't just a feeling of rejection. It's against what we see as part of our life, our culture, our territory."

This gentleman has obviously been laboring under a mistaken assumption. That bit about, part of our life, our culture, our territory shows unbelievable hubris and unmitigated gall.

Keep it up, Mexico. The more arrogant, demanding and outrageous you get, the more Americans get p*ssed off and get off their duffs.

Maybe this will take a bit of the edge off. The article also says:

It's hard to underestimate the ill-feeling the proposal has generated in Mexico,

Now, I've read that line at least a dozen times, and no matter how I figure it, the writer screwed up. This says it's hard to underestimate the ill-feeling. That means you'd have to attribute very little ill-feeling in order to not underestimate it.

IOW, it's the opposite of what the writer really meant to convey. He meant to say, it's hard to overestimate the ill-feeling. Apparently, AP is no longer requiring their writers to display competency in English grammar. Or in logic.

Bwahahahahahahaha.

Just one of the reasons I tell clients Hawaii is a better destination.

Thanks, BQ, for the e-mail address. I have communicated my opinions concerning their interference in America's immigration policies. I reminded them that it is THEIR country that needs fixing, not America.

The Mexican government, angered by a U.S. proposal to extend a wall along the border to keep out migrants, pledged Tuesday to block the plan

Keep it up, Vincente. Your arrogance converts more and more people to our point of view with every passing day. Folks who don't understand what is happening along the border sure as heck understand a foreign government trying to tell us what we can and cannot do.

If you feel lke it, also write to this PR firm that Mexico has hired.
Rob Allyn
Allyn & Company Main Office
3232 McKinney Avenue, Suite 660
Dallas, Texas 75204
Phone: (214) 871-7723
Fax: (214) 871-7767
info@allynco.com.
BTW, I hope you heard John & Ken at the 4 o'clock hour. They were interviewing this Rob Allyn person and he was really slinging the BS around. John & Ken were having none of it and Allyn finally hung up on them.

From the article:

"If people in the U.S. and Canada had an accurate view of the success of democracy, political stability and economic prosperity in Mexico, it would improve their views on specific bilateral issues like immigration and border security," Rob Allyn, president of the PR firm [that Pres. Fox hired], told The Associated Press Tuesday.

If it's so great there, why are they all coming here? What a load!

Thanks for the e-mail address.

Their territory, which they have been taking back for thirty years. Aided and abetted by some American politicians, willing to sell out their own country.

In his recent speech

Talk is cheap and he has zero credibility on this issue. It's long past time for him to enforce the laws.

From what I've been reading, Mexico City is experiencing problems with robberies and assaults on "migrants" returning for the holidays.
