Lots of blacks support Jesse Jackson...and I suspect a lot of Jews support Abe Foxman.

90%+ of blacks vote Dem and about 75% of Jews do.

Considering the current peril of European and Israeli Jews the ADL's priorities seem rather questionable. Religious Christians in the US are virtually the only 100% reliable friend that Israel has. Its a good thing the Mr. Foxman won't be successful in alienating our friendship no matter how much hate he spews.

Abe Foxman has now officially donned the mantle of "The Jewish Al Sharpton."

Do these people even have the foggiest notion about what motivates the average evangelical Christian?

I think we are too tough on Foxman. He has a big problem--Jews are more accepted in this country than any other country outside of Israel. No way around it.

So how do you keep antisemitism and the need for funds to counteract it alive? One way is to come up with a bogey man--Evangelical Christians. For sure there are several or more very rich Jews who will not only agree with Foxman but give a lot to keep things going. If there is a worry it seems to be Evangelical proselytizers will grab their kids.

Nothing but a cheap hustle by Foxman et al. Not really reflective of Judaism and especially Observant, Torah based Judaism.

"...what was troubling ..."

who's the WE ????

Foxman is a leftist first, last, and always. THEN, maybe, he's a Jew. ADL would be well rid of him or anticipate a future with declining support.

Given the liberals' utter intolerance of traditional Christian believers, as demonstrated by Foxman, I think it is the liberals that are the threat to religious pluralism in this country. He wants the government to impose his religion of liberalism on everyone and to silence dissenting voices against the liberal establishment.

Apparently not.

I just received this as an e-mail forward...looks like posting it here will be appropritae:

For Our Democratic Friends:

"Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, our best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. We also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2006, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. And without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee. By accepting these greetings you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for herself or himself or others, and is void where prohibited by law and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher."

An open letter to Abe Foxman

Dear Abe,

I know you don't particularly like those of us who are Evangelicals and although I sometimes wonder why, be assured that we always protect your right to hammer us with your ill-conceived screed.

You can also be assured that we will continue to support Israel and its people because they are the Chosen Ones. We will continue to welcome Jews into this country and honor their heritage and religion and we will continue to support the Holy Land as best we can.

And even when if you call us snot-slurping hillbillies, our love and regard for our Jewish brothers and sisters will not change.

So now that I have layed out our position, I would like to add that part of the reason we operate in this manner is that most us regard you, Abe, as a leftwing f@rt in a rightwing hurricane.

Have a nice day,
TTTC

Who is Foxman and the ADL more likely to support:

1.A wealthy secular Jewish Zimri suing to get into a WASP country club or

2. an orthodox college student trying to get a kosher meal plan

And you got those voting statistics from...?

Last time I registered to vote, and every previous time I have registered to vote, the only requested voter differential was political party preference, if any.

Nowhere on any of the voter registration forms I filled out did it ask for my race or religion.

Just because the MSM states "everyone says" something does not make it a true thing.
There are lies, damn lies, and statistics.
Same as there ever was.

Christians are tired of being kicked around by Abe and his left wing pals and you can bet, they are kicking back. He's freaked and that is a good thing. He is a bigot; a liberal bigot that Christians have obeyed for too long. He wants to pin it on "Evangelicals" but it goes much deeper bin the US population than that.

Is Abe having a meltdown? Or looking for a career as a movie critic.

Foxman said that Evangelical Christians are attempting to implement changes "by legislation,"

Funny, I thought we were just trying to reverse the legislative changes wrought by liberals.

Those are pretty well accepted stats.

I've seen them in various publications, both electronic and paper.

There may be some slight variance election to election, but those numbers are pretty much the national norm.

There has been religion "on the public square" since in this country since it was colonized and it never became a theocracy. These people are crackpots.
