Actually, as it turned out, Mrs. Osteen doesn't have big hair. Having lived in Texas for a spell, many do as you said. Some are amazingly big. Never will forget when I saw one woman's doo. It literally was shaped like an old bee hive, what is sometimes referred to as a "skep". I almost expected to see a few buzzing 'round her head.
Well big hair has been "out" for some time now and I agree her hair doesn't qualify - I was just having fun. There is something about the Southern Belle thing though.... my son used to call these women "fluff chicks" and I still use that term today to describe a gal who spends hours in the morning getting ready. I don't know where they find the time for that stuff!
I always joke about the big hair I see on the Gaither Homecooming videos and then I end with, and those are just the men!
