Allow me to correct you. His father was one of the greatest preachers in the nation. Joel looks like a whiny (not-so-good) imitator of dear ol' Dad, who is living off the latter's coattails. There is something so phony about him it makes my flesh crawl when I see him preach.

If you want to hear a great preacher, I suggest John Hagee of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio (understand now that I no longer endorse any kind of born-again or other form of religious orthodoxy whatsover, but Hagee is still fun to watch, from a stylistic/performance viewpoint).

Haggee tells jokes during his services. He is definitely fun to watch and ties very relevant parts of everyday life to christ's teachings.

It seems anymore the only 'family' type business to survive changing times is the family business of churching. From father to son ... dad builds a ministry and son takes it over when dad retires.
