Personnally I'm going to see it. I'm tired of some of these groups watching a movie and telling me it's filled with insidious messages.
I agree...........as a grown up, I can make my own decisions...........
Go see Narnia. No messages there. :-) loved it....
Nah, I'm not into cartoons. But I appreciate the suggestion.

I will wait for the DVD to come out to see it. I know that the History Channel has a documentary on this 72' Olympic tragedy, and Israel's decade long manhunt. I will be looking for their Hollywood Fact of Fiction program about this movie.
Yes, I'll watch for that too.
I heard one of the conservative talk show hosts say Spielberg didn't want this to be about morality...thus the movie equate the Palis with Israelis security. Personally, I will not see this movie...I don't want to reward Hollywoood when they make movies that are lies. I won't see the McCarthy movie either.
You have that right. But you are depending on someone else's interpretation of what Spielberg said. Find his exact quote (question and answer) and then decide. It is not unusual for a talk host to put out a partial quote, twist it, or get it all wrong.
Yeah, "reality" which conveniently left out the politcally incorrect FACT that a group of brave and heroic Jews banded together in the Warsaw ghetto, and actually tried to defend themselves and their brethren with "EVIL" firearms. They held off a much better armed and equipped, numerically superior German army for a good while before being slaughtered. They died with dignity, and they took a good number of Nazi's with them.
Spielberg is a TYPICAL left-wing hollywood maggot that is only interested in money, and HIS version of "reality".
Spielberg is a traitor to Judaism. Nothing less. He might as well not be a Jew. I have zero respect for him now.
"The Israeli athletes who were assassinated by the PLO in Munich in 1972 did not die by tragedy, nor by moral failings. They were slaughtered. This was a massacre of innocents. At that time, and today, there are no doubts about what happened at the Olympics. We saw much of it live on television. Creating a fictional story about the secret Israeli responsebased on speculative feelings of a fictional protagonist distorts the truth of what actually happened in history." I was listening to the Olympics with a couple Jewish families(never knew I was Jewish myself until later, a family secret) and thought hits was one of the most troubling things I had ever been through. Yes the 10,000 day war was still going on, yes Nixon was getting creamed by the beginnings of Watergate and Mark Spitz was the best swimmer since "flipper" however that tragedy was sick....I still don't care who killed those SOB's( one died in Iraq oh miskanah; I hope it was shin bet and Mossad). The Olympics as a stage for terror...and then how long did it take for that two faced slime ball Yassal allafat get the Nobel dynamite prize? Figures. I will watch the movie. The heck with the politics ...if one cent of my money goes to the building of a shell that kills one terrorist then my money was well spent....sorry this is a very cold subject for me
AND, the Red Army halted their advance till the Germans had taken the ghetto
"Meir ordered Israeli agents to hunt down and liquidate the PLO assassins, as a Never Again! message of life affirmation"
I guess coherence and logic are too much to ask of the author.
I am so sick of fantasies. When are we going to see REAL movies about REAL people? Like journalists not as absurdly caricatured heroes, but rather as enemies of America, subverting the government, aiding our enemies and putting lives at risk.
So if you were informed that one of the screenwriters was a huge fan of Castro and other leading commies going so far to call himself a Marxist, would you still go? Because one of the chief screenwriters is none other than Tony Kushner, a "leading" American playwright (Angels Over America) and self-professed Marxist. He has been very vocal lately in smearing President Bush and calling for an end to the admininstration. He regrets the downfall of the Soviet Union. But you go to the movie. Don't let my advice influence you.
