I ran into the same problem over Thanksgiving and Christmas time. Put out plenty of offers, many expressed interest and gratitude, but nobody took us up on the offer. But that's okay.
Thanks for the update, Coop! I heard a teaser on Hannity about Josh getting some bad news - I was hoping it wasn't about his leg. I'm glad you and your family are showing the Sparlings how much they are appreciated. You're quite a guy!!!!!
bttt
Hey Coop -- I heard on Hannity today that Josh just found out that he may lose his leg after all. I hope and pray that doesn't happen!!
Thanks for the ping, Coop. Say it isn't so... ?
This is why I never give up on Hannity, 'cause he does stuff like this. He remembers people long after the "story" has gone away, and is very good with the personal touch.
I appreciate they are doing all possible for Joshua at Walter Reed; he is an awesome hero.
Well, poop. I am so sorry he's going to have to give up that leg. I'd like a word with that leg ; )
We fought like dogs to save my dad from gangrene, successfully, only to have him drop over from something else. He was so special, I was without my 'right hand man'. I approached my mourning resolutely, philosophically-imagining I had lost a leg, and all that I had to do was to learn to walk forward a bit differently. It wasn't too hard. It sure has changed my life, but I haven't stumbled nearly as much as I thought I might.
I can easily imagine that, together, he and his father had a wonderful time with your family. How sweet of you to offer a little R&R.
I can just as easily imagine why many don't take up the offer. Bless their hearts. Sometimes its not good to have something too good.
Bless you, St. Coop +
I am a lo-o-o-ong way from sainthood! :-)
Ambulated?!?!? Good grief.
Amputated.
more prayers for Josh.
I'm glad to have Sean Hannity on our side. He always remembers the troops.
Got it.Will pray on the air tom.Do you have a link to the letter he received.Save me some homework-or if anybody reading this has it.Joshua we what it all. Will get all the listeners to pray tom.Have freepmail into Connie for her to help me on the air.
Glad to hear THAT. I was worried there for a minute. :)
Not in my book ; )
Arrr ... bad news about the lower leg, but at least he will have his knee, so he will be more mobile.
At the beginning of this thread there's a link to the original thread re: Joshua's hate card.
Thanks for the ping and update.
Bad news but I guess the way to take it is it could be worse. Damn, I don't know.
Anyway, thank your family for the great hospitality shown to the Sparlings.
Joshua, Mr. Sparling ( if you're lurking), Thank you for your service and sacrifice.
