Kwanzaa originated in 1966, whereas "Festivus" came about (on the Seinfeld show) in 1997.

Really?!!!...

I grew up in a very predominately black Atlanta, Georgia... went to Continental Colony Elementary School 1-3 grade in the early 70's (civil rights hadn't even cooled down yet) and I have never heard of Kwanzaa until 4 years ago.
