All marriages weather storms, but only this career diplomat and his outed spy wife know what it's like to be at the center of the year's biggest political scandal. As the CIA-leak case heated up, Wilson kept criticizing the Administration, while Plame kept a low profile, ultimately leaving the CIA for a better assignment: taking care of the couple's 5-year-old twins.
THAT is an interesting prospect!

I don't see Joe as the "Hang out and raise the twins" type. Especially since he loves the limelight and the "beautiful people" so much.

You know what that picture looks like? It looks like an Alfred Hitchcock movie ad. These people are such drama queens! How silly, and how frightening that they both held responsible positions, it is stomach turning to think how many others like them are out there.
Time has discovered a previously never seen before photo, taken April 30th, 1945. The film was found by Russian troops on May 1,1945 and this picture was never released until now. It was taken in the Berlin bunker, just mere hours before the Russian troops entered it, and believed to be the last photo of taken of the two of them alive.....
Val: "Joe, did you remember to get the prunes?"
"Joe, we're not pulling off this Nick and Nora thing too well."

It certainly is not a complimentary picture. Is he suppose to draw sympathy for looking so overwrought? Are we to feel sorry for her because she's walking around the house in her 13 year-old nephew's clown outfit?
I don't know, but William Powell and Myrna Loy they are not.

And apparently loose lipped, according to Joe's account of their third date. What fun! I feel so much better knowing people like her are working in the CIA to protect us.
In that picture, Joe looks like he is scared to death that Val may have overheard the lie he just spouted off to the photographer.
.....and of course, inviting a photographer into her living room to take pictures of her in her pajamas....and a couple tasteful shots for Vanity Fair, but other than that....
Yeah, that's what I'd do if I was trying to keep a low profile.
That's a really frightening thought. I don't think I even want to consider those implications! Do you really think they would have known each other? LF was FBI and VP was CIA. How many terrorism analysts are there?

Why do women marry losers. Remember Doris Kearns. She ran off with that alcoholic after his wife committed suicide. Actually the *reason* she committed suicide was when he ran all.
All this craziness is a reminder of how much we have to be thankful for this Christmas!
