This spring, Congress adopted the toughest budget since the Reagan years What B.S. Spending is up, way up. Ridiculous new programs have been introduced that we can't afford. Nothing of any size has been cut. This isn't even spin, it's just a lie.

Welcome to the Republican Revolution.

A great start, maybe. But not in and of itself a reason to pat ourselves on the back.

anytime Conservatives can convince House Leadership to do a 180 degree turn around and embrace conservatism that is an accomplishment. We must build on this and move forward.

And when the job is done, we can say that the Republican Revolution is back.
They're reporting all this work yet to be done as complete. Given their track record of late, that is very premature.

Oh, give me a break! The Republican Party is squandering our money, and our children's/grandchildren's earnings as fast as it possibly can before their asses are kicked out, and Bush Jr. is wearing out his signature pens happily approving the squandering.
It's the Other Big Stupid Government Party now.

I agree on one hand on the other reopening the Budget and the other accomplishments of the RSC lately rival anything done in 95.

You need to do some research on the RSC
http://www.house.gov/pence/rsc/
There is a battle being fought for the "soul" of our party and the ones on our side need our help.

Reopening the budget is nothing more than agreeing to discuss fixing their own mistakes. But what other accomplishments rival implementing the Contract?

You know I am not defending the whole Republican caucus, but simply the Republican Study Committee right?
"Reopening the budget is nothing more than agreeing to discuss fixing their own mistakes"
but that hasn't happened since the late 70's
The original budget battle in April over point of orders on appropriations that bust the caps were a HUGE success and that is something that was not accomplished in 95

The American people wanted Washington to pay for Katrina with budget cuts, and Washington got the message.I never heard that particular quote.

Isn't it true that these "cuts" are nothing more than reductions in the rate of growth and 90% are only "projected" reductions in future budgets?
