Michelle Malkin had a few quotes up on the President's presser.
Peter Baker/WaPo. "Is there going to be a permanent expansion of unchecked power?" Bush: You're not listening to what I'm telling you...you are ascribing some kind of dictatorial power to the president, which I reject...
Money quote from the President:
"It's inexcusable to tell us to 'connect the dots' and not give us the tools to do so." He asks the Senators of New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas: How will you explain how your cities and states are safer?

Yes yes yes!!!
"you mean the guy who inserted the phrase'Unchecked (Presidential) Power' into his otherwise unremarkable question"
President Bush demolished this guy! pointing a finger at him was just too choice after this weenie thought he was being oh so cute slipping in that "unchecked power" jab. President Bush was having none of it.
Do you know what publication the guy was with? I do hope Rush plays the clip. I believe Bush called him "Peter". even that made me laugh! CBS John Roberts wanted to be sooooo clever with his opening, "So many questions, so little time", Roberts opined. Bush whacked him down to size by saying, "then keep your questions short!
