SHE ALSO BANNED THE 4TH OF JULY!!

CHRISTMAS CENSORS BAN 4TH OF JULY

Patricia Sonntag, director of the office of Services to Students with Disabilities at California State University, Sacramento, has banned 4th of July celebrations, along with Christmas, from her office. Here is her directive:
“With the new year, we will now celebrate the seasons and holiday without decorations in the public areas and holidays. This is a secular university and we are a public service area that has a diverse employee and student populations [sic] even in our private offices. In order to avoid offending someone else, we will not display celebratory reminders.
This specifically includes Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Valentines, 4th of July, St. Patrick’s Day and Easter, off the top of the list [my emphasis]. I, for one, am the worst offender and celebrant. Time has come to recognize that religious discrimination, as well as ethnic insensitivity to certain holidays, is forbidden. I am sorry if this offends anyone, but it is time to start the new year differently.” [emphasis mine].

We contacted Frank Whitlatch, Associate VP, Public Affairs, about Sonntag’s directive. He said, “The guidelines it sets out do not reflect general practice at Sacramento State, and in fact there are holiday decorations on display in offices and public areas throughout the campus.” But not in Sonntag’s area.
Catholic League president Bill Donohue responded as follows: “Everyday I come to work, I learn something new. Today I learned, courtesy of Patricia Sonntag, that the 4th of July is a religious holiday. Last week a rabbi told me the Christmas tree is a religious symbol. Yesterday, one of Donald Trump’s towers banned Christian mangers but allowed Jewish menorahs, because, as condo board member Laura Esrov explained, the religious menorah is really secular. It never occurs to these secular supremacists that it is their aversion to anything religious—or patriotic—that accounts for their desire to muzzle free speech.
* * * * *
So let's look at Sonntag's reasoning - in an effort to not offend anyone, she offends patriotic and Christian-religious persons in the name of "political correctness." And says she hopes her Stalinistic directive doesn't "offend" those who wish to celebrate holidays.

Sonntag is a nut case. An un-American pain in the arse who needs to be told her "directive" is a cow pie that will get tossed back in her face.

"The 4th of July represents "religious discrimination" and "ethnic insensitivity" ????"

If you're an angry, bitter lib (redundant, I realize), then everything annoys you.

I guess it's time to cut off federal funds to this school for violations of the constitution (interfering with the free worship of religion).

4th of July?? The 4th of July is probably the most secular of all the federal holidays. Why would that be banned?

The United States is an evil empire that tortues and kill people whose only goal is to rule the world. To celebrate its founding would be intolerable.

"religious discrimination" and "ethnic insensitivity."…..Political Correctness run amuck by this anti-American administrator. This is AMERICA and some AMERICANS celebrate the birth of CHRIST on December 25 as do millions around the world and those of other faiths respect this celebration…..where is the equality you speak of? Where is the progress? Both are MIA and you Ms. Administrator should be.

Tax payers in California, get this woman out of education – she is truly dangerous to the health of your children. Oh, and I love this, listen up you serfs…….. ”to ensure that employees do not spend an unreasonable amount of work time decorating."………….someone define slave labor…………………….

Or as that teacher said in the movie Dazed and Confused, "July 4th is celebrating a bunch of slave-owners who only wanted to get out of paying their taxes."

Can the Christian Californian taxpayers declare tax dollars that are spent by this university as forbidden also? Or, are their voices stifled.

How long before these "tolerant" lib/socialists/communists demand that all Christians wear a cross on their clothing, so they know who to spit on (like the Jews in Nazi Germany)?? I'm sure these "tolerant" lib/socialist/communists will think torture is okay for Christians. Unbelievable -- head spinning -- head exploding.

Pathetic liberals like this wingnut wake up every morning with bitter bile in their throats and go to sleep every night the same way, cursing their luck and blaming the World for their problems, real or imagined.

How sad is it to be so consumed with such an overpowering desire to make everybody's life as miserable as your own.

Liberalism sucks.

"If only Ronald Reagan was the Governor today!"

Wouldn't he be almost 100 years old?

If you have any questions regarding appropriate accommodation for a student, call the office of Services to Students with Disabilities, (916) 278-6955 (Voice), (916) 278-7239 (TDD), (916) 278-7825 (Fax), E-mail address: sswd@csus.edu.

Ms. Sonntag is way out of bounds.

She is supposed to be helping students with disabilities, not bashing Christians.

What about the Christian students with disabilities who want to observe Christmas? Ms. Sonntag has no right to forbid them.

As a CSU Sacramento alumnus, I'm not exactly happy the current University Administrator had to do something this insane and stupid. Is she trying to lose alumni contributions to the university?
