Activist Forms Hillary Clinton for President Campaign
Capital Nine News ^ | 12/19/05

A Democratic activist in Virginia has formed a national Hillary Clinton for President campaign committee and said his dream ticket for 2008 is to have New York's junior senator paired with his own Governor Mark Warner.

Peter Feddo, a former top official with the Young Democrats of Virginia, filed papers with the Federal Election Commission that allows his independent committee to raise and spend money promoting a Clinton 2008 presidential candidacy.

Neither Clinton nor Warner has said they are running for national office, but both are considered hot prospects for 2008 by party leaders.

National polls show the former first lady, who is seeking re-election next year, far ahead of her potential 2008 rivals. Warner, who leaves office at the end of this year, is steadily improving in those polls.

So far, the Clinton camp is officially ignoring the effort.

Clinton advisor Howard Wolfson said Clinton is focused on doing the best job she can for New Yorkers in the Senate and her re-election in 2006.

Don't think so. From what I have been reading even the ultra leftists who love Obama think he is too green and inexperienced to run. They would prefer him to run in 2008. I think Mark Warner is the favorite. He will run with Hillary.

It would be an interesting ticket and a powerful one but I don't think Hillary would do that. I think she is much too selfish for that.

It really matters little who the Democrats run in 2008... If Jeb Bush wants it, it is his for the taking...

Republicans need to run Jeb on his record, not his family name. Let the Democrats run against the Bush family with the Clinton family. Any way you look at it Jeb comes up smelling like roses...

The American people will say: “We're not about to make that same mistake.” Three Bush presidencies will give us a hedge!

bump

Having failed to snare the Nobel Peace Prize by ignoring terrorism, clinton has apparently decided to intensify his America-bashing on foreign soil, the method employed by Jimmy Carter to great (if somewhat belated) effect. (The Nobel committee, sufficiently mollified only after 24 years of the peanut president's America-bashing, awarded Carter his 1978 Peace Prize finally in 2002.)

Meanwhile, back in the Senate, the missus, the other half of the clinton construct, maintains her hawkish pose (though not without bird problems of another sort).

Yet another example of the clinton conflation ploy, (see SCHEMA PINOCCHIO: how the clintons are handling the hillary dud factor), this variant allows "clinton, the construct" to hold two mutually exclusive positions simultaneously, thereby enabling the missus to avoid in '08 the trap that repeatedly ensnared the ever 'nuanced' Kerry in '04.

Do you now understand how stupid the clintons think you are?

Dear Concerned Americans,

Hillary Clinton's revisionist tome notwithstanding, 'living history' begets a certain symmetry. It is in that light that I make this not-so-modest proposal on this day, exactly 64 years after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

The context of our concern today--regardless of political affiliation--is Iraq and The War on Terror, but the larger fear is that our democracy may not survive. We have the requisite machines, power and know-how to defeat the enemy in Iraq and elsewhere, but do we have the will?

In particular, do we have the will to identify and defeat the enemy in our midst?

Answerable to no one, heir apparent in her own mind, self-serving in the extreme, Hillary Clinton incarnates this insidious new threat to our survival.

What we decide to do about Missus Clinton will tell us much about what awaits us in these perilous new times.
