Bush to Hold Press Conference at 10:30 a.m. EST This Morning
(Excerpt) Read more at foxnews.com ...
This morning on Fox & Friends 1st, Steve Doocey explained that Al Gore recently stayed at Doocey's father's hotel. He added that Gore actually watches Fox & Friends.
As for the President's News Conference, I think he's mad enough to do some serious smack downs of the disrespectful, leftist press.
The Defeatist will be losing it today
Good that he appears to be getting on the offensive.
I would love it if he talked about privacy and civil liberties violations by the clinton administration but that won't happen.
When he requests the presence of the press corps for a formal conference with 2 hours notice - so they cannot coordinate their hit questions - it is breaking news, to be followed on FR by a Live Thread.
It isn't. All Breaking News items must include the phrase:
Large explosions heard downtown Baghdad!.
It's a FR traditional.
Wouldn't it be nice if he were to announce a FBI raid on the NY Times regarding the NSA's "eavesdropping" leak.
Osama Bin Laden
In the speech last night I loved how he told those that opposed the war to "not despair." Made the Dems seem like a bunch of whining children, that needed a parent to set the record straight.
Oh No.......this could cause his poll numbers to go up again...very saddening.....
It's a hook to turn the channel. Breaking news is not still breaking news 6 hours later. But that doesn't stop Fox from doing it.
Democrats need a "presponse," quick!
"Doesn't this seem different than a usual speech?"
And it is different.
It's an impromptu news conference, which is different than the ready-made script he read from the last time.
Frankly, I believe a news conference is more effective in delivering a message and informing the American people than reading from a text. A news conference requires thinking; a speech does not.
That would be one heck of a Christmas present for all of us. I'd love to see the looks on the faces of the Dim Hacks if he were delivered up before the end of the the year. I'm proud of this president and his forthrightness even while members of his own party are trying to stab him in the back.
We haven't had another attack on American soil since 9/11 and you can bet this president had a lot to do with that. I wish they could come out and talk about the plots that have been thwarted as a result of leads they obtained through the tapping of persons known to be operatives here in the United States.
I'd love to see one Dim step up and be HONEST about this war. Joe Liberman has been as close as they come. It kills me that Pelosi & Reid KNEW about the NSA wiretaps and KNEW why they were necessary yet were not honest enough to come forward and admit their consent. I'd trust my life and the lives of my family members to President Bush any day before the likes of Pelosi, Reid, Kerry and Kennedy.
That's why he didn't do it sooner.
"There is a difference between honest critics, who recognize what is wrong, and defeatists, who refuse to see that anything is right."
Bush
"The "Rope a Dope' continues. Bush will ambush them AGAIN."
Bush is taking questions today. He is probably going to talk about Irqs success and field questions about the NSA wiretaps.
Bush will remind the MSM that the taps are legal and that the Patriot Act needs to be continued in order to protect the country. He will then put the Libs on the spot by asking them to eitehr sign on to the Patriot act for 2006-2010 or come out of the closet and voice their no vote.
Curious that this is taking place. Bet McCain forced his hand.
He's been articulating this since he began making this string of speeches.
He doesn't want legitimate dialogue about the war to stop, but he wants the defeatism and history 're-making' to stop.
It won't stop, because a rat is a rat is a rat, and they just lie. But the American people will be more aware that they are lying with every speech and press conference he gives.
Keep it up, Mr. President. KEEP IT UP!!
Bush should have done this two years ago. It stinks of desperation now.
