My big problem with this whole non-story is the Rinos getting on national TV, convicting the President without the facts, calling for investigations then backtracking. We need a party that's going to support the philosophy and not condemn it every time the RATS yell.

If the right controls the Senate as you claim then how is it the patriot act failed the cloture vote in the Senate?
To be honest the minority controls the vote (thru the cloture vote and fillibuster of it) and always has.
It is the duty of the Congress to perform oversight and they can do that behind closed doors in the judiciary committee..I don't mind that..I just fear more secrets revealed because anytime they know something, they leak.

Speaking of Kerry I saw him on TV a while ago talking about the ANWR provision in the upcoming finance bill. I could have swore I heard him say something about 500 miles to the gallon something about biodiesel combination or some such thing. I suppose I could have heard him wrong because I pay little attention to what he actually says when he is speaking.
Nobody can keep up with what Kerry says. It's boring! In fact I keep thinking that his pink tie is making his orange face look even more orange! Oh, BTW, did you know he was in VN? hehe
Hey its all good. It is proper to say that the pubs have a majority in the senate. It is even proper to say they control what is tabled for cloture votes in the Senate, that is to say they set the agenda. In order to claim they have control of it they need to have 60 votes. This eliminates the cloture vote roadblock. My hope is that we will see 60 votes in 06.
Kerry is upset that he is "stuck here" 5 days before Christmas eve. I can only infer that this is more important to him than my safety!
