Sorry to state the obvious but President Bush's recent speeches were given with plenty of notice. If it is important news, nothing has leaked yet. Odd for these days.

YEAH...check it out....Reid's complaint about drilling in ANWR is that the oil companies made TOO MUCH MONEY last year!!!
If that isn't the stupidest reason to keep America dependent on Middle East oil, I haven't heard it...and he KNOWS that the profit margin for oil companies is miniscule compared to other businesses...
What a stupid, mean little man.

I do hope he points out that echelon started on clintons watch before 9/11 violating "civil rights" of libs. Whereas he limited it to suspected terrorists, oh wait thats libs too.

A Presidential news conference doesn't happen every day. By definition, when the leader of the free world speaks, it's breaking news.

Watch the MSM try to change it back with the questions they ask. Lets see how long it takes and lets see how many questions are on th NY Times article?
Any bets? How many questions are on the spying "scandal"? How many questions deal with Iraq vs. this bogus issue?

The profit margin is also miniscule for what the GOVERNMENT makes off of oil.

I love your screen name. And I expect you're probably right about the angle of questioning he will get. I'd like to see a more aggressive GWB and hopefully this will be it.

Yeah.... I think he just says.... "if you want to tell the American people that we can't monitor the phone calls between Al Queda members in the middle east and persons in our own country... then go ahead and tell them. But we're gonna monitor those calls. Next question?"

And what was Clinton's justification for burning up Waco? Oh, that's right. HE DIDN'T GIVE JUSTIFICATION OR TAKE THE BLAME! He pawned off that mistake to Janet Reno. How conveeeenient.

I'm guessing first questions is on spying and it dominates the news conference.
