Good for you Julius, Santa is not the reason for the season anyway, I never let my children believe in this popular lie about a fat man in a red suit and flying raindeers, I couldn't bear the guilt of lying to my children to have them later be disappointed. What a scam to take the meaning away from Jesus Christ our presious savior.

Good man Gary. I hope you work hard to make the realities of life clear to your kids at a very early age, no tooth fairy, no Santa, no Easter Bunny, nothing to smile and laugh about at an early age. Get them going now for the realities of adult life. No break for your kids.

You could tell them about the true story of St. Nicholas.

Nicholas was born during the third century in Patara, a village in what is now Turkey. His wealthy parents, who raised him to be a devout Christian, died in an epidemic while Nicholas was still young. Obeying Jesus' words to "sell what you own and give the money to the poor," Nicholas used his whole inheritance to assist the needy, the sick, and the suffering. He dedicated his life to serving God and was made Bishop of Myra while still a young man. Bishop Nicholas became known throughout the land for his generosity to the those in need, his love for children, and his concern for sailors and ships.

Oh come on! Half the fun was arguing. Is he real? Is he not real? Just like, are there really bogeymen under the bed?
At least they will still be able to argue which is the best state, greatest cowboy star ever, (ooops that one's passe) best baseball or football or video game, whatever.

I for one feel richer for once having believed in Santa Claus and still believing in Miracles.
