AG Gonzales on TODAY and FOX & Friends this morning did an excellent job of laying out the facts. Then viewers get treated to wannabee president Russ Feingold repeat his, "he's not King George" sound bite.
Feingold is the one who's jumped the shark. If Republicans Spector and Graham weren't out there making fools of themselves, Feingold's over the top allegations would have no credibility at all.
This morning on TODAY, Tim Russert said the president's speech last night was designed to buy him time. Russert should have said the NYTimes attack on the president in concert with his political enemies is the real attempt at buying time.
Bush's political enemies know this allegation of breaking the law is bogus. They just want to milk it for as long as possible in order to affect the 2006 elections. They must use this [ and anything else ] to prevent Bush's rise in the polls from accelerating because of Iraq's successful election.
You're so right about their strategy and motives....they'll undermine the troops, the President, the truth....and what for but to regain POWER. Odious people who don't deserve to call themselves Americans.
