The Irving Berlin song "Happy Holiday" (sung by Bing Crosby in 1942) wasn't exactly anti-Christmas

Yes, but it relates more to the theme of the movie, "Holiday Inn."

Well of course, the point being though that for decades people have said "happy holidays" or whatever without it being thought of as anti-Christmas. It's because of the war on Christmas that everything seems suspect.
