SIERRA VISTA A man robbed, kidnapped and threatened to kill the owner of a local eatery Saturday morning before fleeing into Mexico, Sierra Vista police said.
The man was able to get away when he forced the store owner to give him a ride to the Naco Port of Entry.
Police said the incident began at about 4 a.m. when the store owner heard a strange noise while working in the Bread Basket Bakery, 355 W. Wilcox Drive. After going outside, he was robbed by a man with a black-colored, semi-automatic pistol.
The robber also took an undisclosed amount of money from the bakery, and then he forced the store owner to drive his 2006 Mercedes Benz to the victims home, where, at gunpoint, he made the man surrender more money.
The suspect then forced the store owner to drive to the Naco Port of Entry for an escape into Mexico, according to police.
Once at the port of entry, the victim jumped from his Mercedes sedan and then alerted U.S. Homeland Security officers nearby that hed been robbed, kidnapped, robbed again and almost taken across the international border.
The Mercedes and the suspect rolled across the border into Mexico and away from the port of entry, police said.
The suspect is described as a black man with a round face and brown eyes, standing between about 5 feet 11 inches and 6 feet tall.
The suspect also is described as having no facial hair and a short hairstyle, and estimated to weigh around 180 to 200 pounds with a dark complexion. He wore dark-colored pants, a dark-colored hooded coat that covered his waist, a dark-colored knit cap, and a jacket that had a deep hood attached to it.
The car that was taken during the incident is described as a gray/silver 2006 Mercedes Benz E350 style sedan with Arizona license plate 327NYT. If you have information regarding these crimes or the identity of the perpetrator, call Sierra Vista police Detective Sean Brownson at 458-3311.

Just doing the robbing, kidapping, and making threats of violence that Americans won't do.
Ah,, but reread the end closely paying close attention to the description - it wasn't an illegal; at least not from the description.
Just because he has dark skin doesn't mean he isn't mexican.

The owner of that bakery/restaurant has enough customers of both persuasions to know the difference when he sees them.
And before you go getting all high-falutin' on us, SandRat and I are both patrons of that restaurant.
Well, good for both of you.
