If the story came from the NYT then it's almost 100% certain it came from the Democratic side of the aisle. Why is BOR on and not Ollie? I had CNN on for two seconds Blitzer said that GWB has not addressed us from the Oval since we invaded Iraq and what went through my head was either we have Osama OR we are invading Iran. I know those theories are both out there, but it is interesting that it is coming from the Oval.

I'm betting it is to hammer home the fact that Iraq had an election and that America is no longer threatened by Iraq. Either Iran or Osama would not have been scheduled two days ahead.
