Surfer's Paradise Beach

I've been there!  I missed seeing the Meter Maids though  ((((((sigh))))))

(I didn't really spend much time shopping, that's probably why)

They have markers on the beach and anchored in the water so that swimmers will know to keep inside the lifeguard-patrolled areas....this also helps to minimize the number of swimmers who end up as shark food   :-)

Delightful sunshine, gorgeous clean white-sand beaches, captivating ladies and friendly folks all 'round.  When I visited, Quantas had an "Excursion Fare" offering which allowed people to hop between several cities, staying as long as you like at each one, for a very reasonable rate.  Interested vacationers may wish to inquire about that with their travel agent.  Australia is a grand, sweeping and majestic country with huge differences between different areas, and so it's best to travel around as much as possible within the country in order to get a good sense of what Australia is all about.  You won't regret it!
