The St. Pete Times was right in the middle of our activities in Pinellas Park, surrounded by facts and evidence, yet unflappable. Although reporters were affable, their sympathies never translated to story. St. Pete Times building right around the corner in Clearwater from the Judge Greer court.

Interesting you should say that.
I recall FR becoming a flaming war zone. In fact one could not ask a civil question of fact without being castigated and set upon.
To even hint that it did not divide people is an absurdity.
Yes. There was plenty of "shouting," that's the American way. But I don't think we are a divided people on the right. At least we shouldn't be. I'd hate to think of us as the extreme counterparts to what passes for the Democratic Party these days.

That brought out a forgotten knot in my stomach, emotions which had subsided, but not completely forgotten and I am glad you reminded me.

This article may be wishful thinking on the part of the writers, however Terri's case was never really about politics. However, if there is some truth in this article, then so be it for the Republicans who stood for life. Many have been "crucified" for righteousness' sake.
While the authors do indeed have most of it wrong, they are on to something with the above quote. However, there should be a little correction - "The wish list for the Christian right has been swept given away."
the Bush administration's bungled response to Hurricane Katrina all have played roles, analysts and lawmakers say.
General Russel L. Honore would say, "This entire article is just B.S."
The St Pete Times is dominated by Scientology money and influence, home to their world headwuarters. The story of that cult's influence in Terry's murder has not yet been told.
This piece of mullet wrapper journalism is too long and too silly. It bears no resemblance to the truth.
I hope the idiots at the Times are enjoying themselves today, because I have to think there are some very hot places in hell reserved for people who publish rot like this so smugly.
I suspect that the truth of Scientology and its lust for death is too despicable for mere mortals to endure. Apparently, Pinellas County sold its soul a long time ago. If you live there, and you believe in Diving Judgment, you may want to check out real estate in Montana.
Ahem, *guffaw*... that should be "DivinE Judgment."
The St Pete Slimes isn't worth putting in the bottom of the bird cage.

2- whose life is it, anyway? Yours, or someone else's?
3- whose Country is it?
There are other vital issues, of course- but these three will determine just who we really are as a nation.
And by the way, Cincy- Seasons greetings to you and yours.
Merry Christmas backhoe - tidings of comfort and joy to you and yours.
The writer of this fairy tale misses one important point -there is a difference between permitting death and procuring death. Terri was not allowed to die -she was murdered -starved and dehydrated to death...
