I said if there was a violation. Further spying on people without a court order and convincing yourself that that is a good thing is the first step on a slippery slope.

Again I ask in all honesty will the same people who now are supporting this, support the Dems in the future. I higly doubt that the Dems will use this precedent for the well-being of the average american.

When did I ever say it was a good thing to spy without a court order? I did not say that.

If you listened to the President's speech yesterday, then you heard him say that it was in his power as President to take the actions he did. You can bet constitutional attys. were all over the subject, Congress was notified, and the targets are reviewed with Congress every 45 days.

Why do you believe their lying and whining?

George W. Bush would never do anything to violate his granted presidential powers, nor hurt America or Americans ... you must know this is a man of character, and would never put US or the office of President in legal jeopardy.

The Office of President of the United States is privy to exclusive intelligence that could provoke the need for an instant response to a deadly threat for the safety of our country, citizens and allies.

In the case of national security, I would never presume to tie the hands of the ONE person in this country who has the solemn and sworn obligation to protect America in the face of a serious threat or information about a planned threat. For the President to be in receipt of such knowledge and not take the necessary steps to learn about the source of the threat and defend against it would be the construct of malfeasance and incompetence in office.

As far as the RATS: Hillary got and still has 900 raw FBI files - Sen. Leahy and Sen. Rockefeller spilled classified data, etc. etc. .... laws won't stop the dishonorable. They don't play by the rules anyway.

That's why our Founding Fathers were confident in the system of government they created -- it was designed assuming that all who served in public office were honorable.

We know better now .. and it's our duty to work to elect people of honor to office.

Thank God for President George W. Bush.
