The message here, of course, is that if you have a pampered pet, while there are unfortunate children of incompetent parents in this country, then you are scum.
The REALITY here, of course, is that if you get rid of your pampered pet, the unfortunate children of incompetent parents in this country will not be the least bit better off than they are right now ... the only difference will be that YOU will then only be lonely scum without a pet.
