A small fraction of bad units is to be expected for a new product launch.

A LARGE percentage would equal a design flaw, which is what I said was not the case.

Just to add......Microsoft is doing the right thing by limiting the amount of 360's they release. Just imagine 2 million of these roll off the assembly line, to the market all at once and 10% of them have bugs. It would be a massive PR mistake. Not only that. This system is played online with entirely new servers. I would think a million new gamers all logging on for the first time, at the same time, would cause problems. I hardly think Microsoft is fabricating a shortage to sell more 360's. That doesn't make any sense to me. The Cabbage Patch it ain't.

Dude, like I said, believe whatever you want to....but a quick Google search of "XBOX 360 overheating" yields well over 500 hits. I didn't think anybody on Free Republic believed press releases anymore...I could care less one way or the other, but there are a substantial number of documented issues with the XBOX power supply causing the unit to overheat....you're blind if you don't see it.
