LANCASTER - "When I'm God, everyone dies."
Those words, scribbled in a 15-year-old boy's notebook, were part of the evidence on display Friday at the Lancaster Sheriff's Station.
That notebook was accompanied by a three-ring binder featuring pictures of Columbine High School killers Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, Oklahoma City bomber and white supremacist Timothy McVeigh and the infamous Charles Manson.
The 15-year-old, a Quartz Hill resident, and a 17-year-old Lancaster resident were arrested Thursday for allegedly planning a "Columbine-style" attack on Quartz Hill High School.
Their target date was next Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, 2006, a date selected from the lyrics of a Marilyn Manson song, Detective Steve Gross said.
With downloaded instructions on how to make pipe bombs, grenades and Molotov cocktails, the two were "planning the assault on Quartz Hill for five to six months," Detective Steve Owen said.
Their motivation, Gross said, was revenge.
"They said that while they were at Quartz Hill High School, they were ostracized and outcasts," Gross said.
While investigators are still looking at possible targets, Gross said the 15-year-old told deputies, "They were going to kill everyone that made fun of them."

Was Timothy McVeigh a white supremacist? From what I remember the Oklahoma bombing was a misguided attempt to get back at the government for Waco. Waco was full of black and Asian followers and children of Koresh.

I went to high school in Lancaster. What a dump.
Personally, I suspect that there are many Dylans and Keibolds festering in the Mojave Desert, nursing grudges, waiting their chance. And as long as parents of teenagers are foolish enough to allow them unlimited internet access in the privacy of their bedrooms, we will see this more and more. JMHO

There is considerable speculation & controversy whether McVeigh acted alone or even who or what was truly behind that bombing. His supposed links to White Supremacism were rather weak.
