It is heinous because it is not true and they claim it is Holy Scripture.

It does not matter if something helps people "lead better lives" if it takes them from true salvation in Christ while claiming to lead them there.

However, I agree that everyone has the choice to go to Hell.

it seems to me that Jesus Christ had good things to say about some Samaritans and critical things about other people who self-rightouesly called him "Lord, Lord."

Something about judging the heart, and not by appearances . . .

We all, and especially some Evangelicals, may be surprised about how everything finally shakes out.

What proof do we have that it is any less true than the rest of the Bible? Just because it isn't in the Bible? There were a lot of editorial selections in creating that Book. Also how do you know it doesn't lead people to true salvation in Christ? It could be the Mormons who have it correct and everyone else is wrong. You never know, at least not until it is too late.
