UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan told US President George W. Bush Friday that he was pleased with the vote in Iraq as they discussed ways in which the international community could provide help in Iraq, the White House said.
Annan told Bush that violence in Iraq was low, voter turnout was high and that the Iraqi people had cleared another hurdle "on the road to democracy," said Federick Jones, spokesman for the National Security Council.
Ah, jee, thanks Kofi, now STFU, and go away.
It went well no thanks to you.
But where's the plan?
Kofi just hates it when there's a lot reconstruction going on and no way for him to skim some of it.
But anyone who knows anything about first and second world countries with third world mind sets, graft and corruption are normal. Iraq, being what it is, is probably rife with it.
Glad Kofi thinks it went well. I mean, what WOULD we do if he thought it went badly. /sarc
Gee.........that big of him. :-(
When is this guy going to be replaced? Anytime soon?
Yeah, Yeah, we know we are saving the world, despite all the un has and hasnt done. Your approval for the United States to do anything is not needed, and your jumping on our bandwagon was totally predictable.
How 'bout those kickbacks you got from the Oil for Food program?!?
How the UN can help? They can help by staying the hell out of the way.
It was bad enough last time when they ran off with their tail between their legs, we certainly don't need them doing it again.
Yeah...but what do Clinton, Carter and Albright say?
The U.N. plan to liberate Iraq is working! They've brought peace and democracy to the Middle East!
Kofi should be thrown in jail and raped by Tookie....
Kofi.....repeating the facts we ALREADY KNOW, and PREDICTED....just jumping on the bandwagon.
This arrogant, disgusting criminal only holds his position because he is the spokesperson for the terrorist regimes who really run the UN. Things will change for Kofi after the elections in Iraq in January. Once a duly elected government is installed, the where-abouts of the weapons of mass destruction Saddam squirreled away will be made known, and Kofi's reign will be over.
Until Iraq is truly in control of its own fate and people, the UN still has hopes of a civil war - and being able to take over again. I believe the various conditions for UN control of Iraq are still in effect and have not been rescinded. Just my two cents. But January ends any possible UN control of Iraq and that will be a wonderful thing for the world.
I suppose we can all breathe a sigh of relief.
Annan has given his Emperor's seal of approval. [sarcasm]
If you really want to help, try returning the monies you stole off the backs of oppressed Iraqi's.
Did the Iraqi's pass the global test?
I hear my cue.
The OIC is the largest voting block in the UN and is the political arm of the global jihad, it's function is to serve as cover for their jihadis and protect them, and Kofi is their dog:
Terrorism's Silent Partner at the United Nations
Terrorism As a RightWith the Organization of the Islamic Conference defending any act committed on behalf of "national liberation," the United Nations cannot even issue an unequivocal condemnation of terrorism, let alone join the struggle to eliminate it...
The reason for this failure is that the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), which comprises fifty-six of the UN's 191 members, defends terrorism as a right...
Part of their own declared agenda includes:
1. Strengthen:No prizes for guessing what that last one means.
a) Islamic solidarity among Member States;
b) Cooperation in the political, economic, social, cultural and scientific fields:
c) The struggle of all Muslim people to safeguard their dignity, independence and national rights.2. Coordinate action to:
a) Safeguard the Holy Places;
b) Support the struggle of the Palestinian people and assist them in recovering their rights and liberating their occupied territories.
Their aim of "coordinating action" to "safeguard the Holy Places" is in effect a declaration of acting as the saud/wahhabis international political arm to keep the hijaz under wahhabi control to legitimize their vile message as the custodians of the holy sites.
Took the very words right out of my mouth.
yes of course they did...
in a manner reminiscent of "jenjiss kahn"...
