Slasher Santa causes a stir in Manhattan (Blue state anti-Christian bigotry)

Joel Krupnik and Mildred Castellanos decked the front of their Manhattan mansion this year with a scene that includes a knife-wielding 5-foot-tall St. Nick and a tree full of decapitated Barbie dolls. Hidden partly behind a tree, the merry old elf grasps a disembodied doll's head with fake blood streaming from its eye sockets.

Keep at it Krupnik and all the other Christian-haters and Christmas haters. When the liberals of New York and other Blue strongholds expose their hatred of Christianity, it solidifies the Rep8ublican hold on the country's heartland, and a majority of electoral votes. Blue-collar working class folks in Ohio, Kansas, Tennessee, New Mexico might be voting Democratic - if Democrats weren't continuously flaunting their loathing of these people's religion and values. 5 will get you 5000 that Krupnik was a Kerry donor. Thanks Krupnik, you demented bigot!!! By showing that you and your ilk hate Christians, you're helping to deprive the Democrats of millions of votes from Christians of every economic stratum. President Bush thanks you -- you helped him carry Ohio. And the next president - a Republican as well, I'm confident - will thank you as well, you poor sick soul!!

That's being general to Krupnik. I doubt he's mentally or emotionally disturbed. He's a multimillionaire who's probably quite intelligent -- and is very bigoted. Don't give him the cop-out of calling him "disturbed." He hates christmas and the christians who celebrate it, and he has made a moral choice to indulge and flaunt that hatred. It's a hatred he shares with many of the people who make up the current Democratic establishment, and its donor base in places like New York.

Are they any more sick than the Democratic operatives who advertised an anti-Christian token on the Washington State Democratic Party website? Anti-christian bigotry is a virus that has caught hold of the Democratic party. You could see it in the way Shumer and Feinstein skewered Ashcroft for his religion, in his AG confirmation hearings. Scary stuff.

If you would read ALL of the articles about these nutter, in the N.Y. Post, for this past week, he claims that he OVES Christmas, but HATES how "commercial it has become" and that's why he did this. Personally, I think that he and his wife are just whack jobs.

Wow, and I thought the Santa working at the local outdoor mall looked a bit strange. (He was wearing shorts.)

Yeah, that's his spin. Clinton said he loves America and protected it as president. That's not believable either.

I'm sure the next time this guy makes the news it won't be for a fake santa.

Nobody believes the guy and his "Christmas" decorations have already been purged.

You REALLY shouldn't post articles from a Seattle paper, when this is happening in N.Y.C, and the N.Y. Post ( a CONSERVATIVE paper !) has been covering this, IN DETAIL all week long. Why not go to the source and have ALL of the facts laid out?

Hating a holiday that promotes charity, good will, and family qualifies as being disturbed. Furthermore hating it enough to put up a display of gratuitous blood and gore defacing some of the symbols of the holiday qualifies as being disturbed.

In all other things, this man is probably stable and normal. Then again, he probably isn't.

The method that this sick person used to protest the commercialism of Christmas just doesn't add up.

If he wanted to protest the commercialism of Christmas, I would think he would do something along the line of displaying a manger with a Walmart sign, or Mary with a credit card, etc.

Why the disturbingly violent display? I think he wanted to do something sick because he is sick and enjoys shoving it in everyone's face under the pretense of protest.

The wealthy can be psychos too. It is not at all uncommon for old money to be whack jobs. I now a few of them and they are weird. There are no bad results for bad behavior.

"Christmas has religious origins," he said. "It's in the Bible. Santa is not in the Bible. He's not a religious symbol."

Sorry but this has nothing to do with Christianity. I find it humorous some in the religious right are up in arms about private companies saying or not saying Merry Christmas. As if keeping Christ's name in all of it somehow justifies the whole retail industry around Christmas.

It's not that big a deal. Someone with a little dark humor. So what? It's not an attack on Christ but rather, at least according to this gentleman, the commercialization that has arisen in the past 100 or so years around the time that Christians remember Christ's birth.
