True or not, I read a posting in this forum which stated McCain divulged his father's rank after being captured in hopes of getting "special treatment" from his captors. He did, but not the kind he expected.

John McCain wants the White House so bad he can taste it. He stripped us of our rights under the First Amendment with McCain-Feingold, attempted a Congressional coup on Supreme Court nominees, is trying to kill the Second Amendment, and now is gutting the U.S. of coercive techniques to extract vital information from the equivalent of lunatics and pirates trying to commit mass murder in the American heartland.

Why? He wants to be President and realizes the power of the media and the influence it exerts in elections - due in no small part to his own legislation.

John McCain would commit fellatio on every media member of the Country to become President.
