WASHINGTON, Dec. 16 /U.S. Newswire/ -- House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid joined House and Senate Democrats today to speak out against the corrupt Republican Congress that has chosen the special interests over everyday Americans, and failed to address the priorities of the American people. Below are Pelosi's remarks:

I kind of like the big rich special interests. They make the cars I drive, the fuel I put in those cars and the stuff that keeps my house warm. They cut and process the timber that keeps my house from falling down and build the roads I use to get home to my warm sturdy house.
Poor people special interests, on the other hand, have given me affirmative action, more taxes, criminals running around my warm sturdy house and multiculturalism.
I would rather have lunch with the President of Haliburton than Jesse Jackson.

Personally, I think it's a great message for us. Asking the American people to "truth and trust" the dims party is like asking your 8 year old to babysit your new puppy.
