" Homosexual sin is about Lust. And Lust leads to spiritual blindness, and homo-hugging agitprop movie reviews from the queer cult at USCCB.
Yeah, Bihsops. Y'all sure have "cleaned-up" your act."
...
While they play the shell game with their queer pedophile priests, moving them around the globe.
...or more likely the name Ennis without the letter P in front of it.
(snickering)
ROFLMA! That's gonna be a classic in Key West!
Exellent post bornacatholic! When will they make a movie about that?!?
"A lot is very wrong about this movie (or at least about what I've read about it -- I won't go see it). One thing is the idea that two guys would go herd sheep in the mountains together. Sheep are grazed in the mountains in bands that are the size that one herder can, with horse and dogs, tend. There is no way that a sheep rancher would pay two guys to herd together. Each would have his own band to care for, far apart"
...
Taking all of these facts into account including the author of the story is a woman. We can conclude that Brokeback Mountain isn't really a story of two gay men out on the open range. It's a silly Harlequinesque tale with a queer slant about one male and his lustful affair with his alter ego, his penis(Ennis), alone in no mans land with the sound of bleeting sheep in the far off distance. The title should be Jack and The WeenieStalk(lonely Jack and his obsession with his penis).
I am surprised this film is not getting an NC-17 and suprised by the fact that there is no protest to force the film to be re-rated at NC-17.
If the film is rated NC-17 it removes it from most retail outlets.
It also keeps the film out of most public schools as a "diversity training film".
This movie should really be appealing to the 3 homosexual cowboys on the continent. The message is clear here--even the most masculine lifestyle has a large number of queers in the closet. Just one more reason to never pay to see a movie from the perverts in tinsextown.
Yes!
"Barea$$ Mountain" I think was the original title.
That will probably be in the sequel: "Brokeback Mountain Revisited". By the time they finish filming, it will probably be legal.
"What the hell is a sheep herding cowboy?"
Wolves in sheeps' clothing.
A lot of people, including me, agree with you. The "mystery" is the ratings board, no doubt about it...last I read about this issue, this film's odd bypass of the NC-17, was that the ratings system itself was denigrated and thus, this film got a pass (conveniently, is the point, the ratings system was called into question where this film was/is concerned, the system alleged to be nonsensical and not meaningful, and so, hey, it doesn't apply to this film!). That's my summation of an article I read in VARIETY not too long ago, trade paper for the film and television industry.
I can't recall WHO opined thusly, just that the ratings question, as you raise it and others have, was discussed in VARIETY and part of the article included the discussion that suggested the rating system was nonsensical...and thus...bypassed.
It's arche manipulation, no doubt about it!
Another thing faux about Proulx (I completely agree with you about that, I can't even begin to know why she's received a Pulitzer -- not that that says too much about her otherwise -- because her "writing" is the most grotesque and abusive use of English words I've ever read, it's nearly nonsense, if not nonsense, perhaps poetry if rearranged but hardly great literature, if literature at all)...anyway, to my knowledge, there isn't any "Brokeback Mountain" in WYOMING, but THERE IS a "Brokeback Mountain Ridge" (or close to that) in Northern New Mexico.
I also don't think Proulx had reality in mind when she wrote this but she used that title for obvious, decrepit reasons.
"It could have been worse. They could have been having sex with the sheep!"
"That will probably be in the sequel: "Brokeback Mountain Revisited". By the time they finish filming, it will probably be legal."
...
The sequel will be called Chokeback Fountain with narration by queer eye for the str8t flies guzzling it up in their SUPER sized go cups sold at the thee-ater concession.
Hey Annie Proulx,
Drop your holster
forget about the pollsters
Become a seeker
Seek both night and day
Ask the Lord to help you
And he will show you the way
Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
raise your hands toward the heavens
Annie, go tell it on the real mountain
Jesus Christ is born
How long O Lord?
I don't think they are desperate at all I think they are pushing an genda that they truly believe in. But at the same time look what those same people in hollyweird treated the film the Passion of the Christ.
My daughter is a writer and she loved the movie American Beauty. She even went and bought a copy of the screen play. All she talked about and hounded me to go and see it. I am not for going and paying hard earn money to see movies that offend me. She said she would pay for my movie ticket and then told me all the stuff that she knew I would not like. Her and I went to see the movie and as I expected I did not like it. When she asked me if I liked it or not I told her it was not very creative at all it was just reflecting the cultural aspects of what is going on today in America. Or what hollywood thinks is normal. she got so mad because I didn't see the genius in it. For me a movie should not go out of its way to push some kind of an agenda that hollywood like to portray as normal. In the opening scene in American Beauty the chracter is masterbating, yep that takes a real genius. And how creative and I am suppose to pay out $9.00 to see that creative genius? I love her and she is talented but she can't get past the hollywood genius thinking.
