It's so stupid to take perfectly good words and concepts and make them into nefarious things. Obviously, if somebody 'facilitates' you into compromising your belief in the Bodily Resurrection of Christ you and he did a bad thing -- but that doesn't make ALL "facilitation" into a bad thing.

Obviously.

The same with the concept "synthesis". Do you folks think Hegel INVENTED the reality of a thesis and its antithesis being forged into a new synthesis?

No, of course not. But Hegel reduced everthing to his process, including God. But like I said before, he hypocritically exempted his own philosophy from the "thesis," "antithesis," "synthesis" process.

I use this process every day, and I bet you do too. I manage a business; one group within the business thinks the only way to do something is A (because of value A) and the other group says no, B (because of value B) and it is my job to say "here is a method C which preserves both values A and B."

That's trivial. But don't be naive. Official "facilitators" are often brought in to bring the peons to the preconceived consensus, most notoriously with respect to "diversity training."

I remember seeing on the Dick Cavett show John Kerry vs the Swift Boat captain. At the time, I thought they were both in earnest, and that therefor the truth lay in-between. At that time, I was a teen-ager brought up in an anti-war religion.

I did not realize the enormity of my error until the Cambodian holocaust. I have voted since 1976 and have never, ever voted for a Demonrat for President - I opposed Nixon in 1972 as the inside information on Watergate was out within a week of the break-in. Now, after watching MD4Bush up-front, my guess is that Liddy has the truth and that Dean (John not Howard) had no truth in him.

We all know (at least here on FR) that Kerry has no truth in him. Noting that the Swift Boat captains as thesis, Kerry's lies are antithetical to the truth. Thus the only synthesis is the acknowledgment and rejection of the lies.

And I now know that I was played as a useful idiot. The useful idiots will always be with us; they often decide Presidential elections. But they cannot be the actual movers and shakers of society (former POW McCain to the contrary).

In order to move and shake, you have to believe in something, else someone else is moving and shaking you.
