> Rudy screamed worse than Dean about Florida selling guns. etc. etc. etc.

So Giuliani's not a social conservative. The war against terror and islamic fanaticism is this nation's priority. Please get with the program. Rudy is not going to take your gun away or make you have an abortion.

Sorry I didn't mean literally attack her. I meant come at her with a paper to sign. It kinda turned off alot of people at a debate. I think they didn't expect it. She used that to her advantage.

If Daschle were to run for president...

Maybe RINO-Rudy or RINO-McCain could be his running mate.

[Rudy] once said that if Pataki decided not to run for Governor that he would run.

GOOD.

Maybe he'll stay somewhere where, inexplicably, he is adored and fawned over by his subjects.

And her shrill voice.......Rush has great audio of her screaming her views.

Wish Rush could/would play some of Hitler's recorded rants along with Hillary's and have people hear the similarities ;-)

Well if rhinos and the MSM force Rudy or McCain down our conservative throats, I will vote third party or write in Mickey Rat.
It is easier to fight a democrat than a democrat with a R beside their name.

he might be liberal on a few issues

TOO bad, for RINO-Rudy's presidential aspirations, that these "few issues" are so EFFING IMPORTANT to those of us that value FREEDOM and the American way of life, as intended by the Founding Fathers.

Our 2nd Amendment rights, protecting innocent life, and continuing to support the institution of marriage between one man and one woman, are NOT negotiable.

RINO's, like Rudy, who believe differently, or PRETEND to believe differently for political expediency, can go to HELL.

"...and frequent announcements by freepers that they will never vote for xxx and will leave the GOP if s/he gets nominated."

Talk like that resulted in President BJ Clinton.

If voting on conservative principles results in a demonRAT presidency, OH WELL.

Maybe it will teach the RNC, once and for all, that we conservatives will NOT accept a RINO for the highest office in the land.

WHY is this acceptable to people, so-called "Republicans", living in the Northeast?

These polls are about leadership qualities right now. Not niche positions on specific topics. Views governing NYC vs the USA will be altered.
Reagan was an FDR Democrat, Union boss and divorced father. GHW Bush altered several strategic positions from 1980 to 1988.
GW Bush has changed his position on spending, size of government, interests in other country's national affairs.
I voted for all three and so did a majority of Americans knowing these changes.

She sounds more like the Lesbo tapes Rush plays. Those are real too. That may drive home a better point.

No. These polls are about the left-wing media, who has a love affair with weak-minded, opportunistic, Narcissistic RINO's (those they think Hillary can beat) like McCain and Rudy. They are PUSH-polling to generate a certain power-of-suggestion that these goofballs are the ones Republicans should vote for.

As far a "leadership" goes, from a conservative Republican perspective, it means sticking to conservative core beliefs, no matter what. These core beliefs should never be diluted or negotiated away.

RINO's and democrats are all too happy to do or say whatever they think will get them ahead, even if it is bad for America, and infringes on our rights, traditions, history, whatever. They can't be trusted in the highest office in the land.

An American figure vying for leadership of the Republican party is welcome to change their stance on many issues, but NOT, it is my belief (and the belief of MANY Red State Conservatives), on Constitutional or life and death issues (i.e., 2nd Amendment, abortion, etc.).

Then, looks like you can vote for McCain! If this is the narrow view of an acceptable candidate he is and always has been pro gun and pro life.

I could never vote for that traitorous, disloyal RINO.

He has shown disdain for a couple of other Constitutional and life or death issues, besides the 2nd Amendment and abortion, which are so important to our country.

His Campaign Finance "Reform" law infringed upon my 1st Amendment right to make my political views known through an organization I belong to, the NRA, for just that purpose.

And his "Bill of Rights for Al Qaeda" (tying our hands as far as using necessary methods to get (AMERICAN) life-saving information from terrorists) will SEVERELY damage our national security.

. As with liberal demonrats, this RINO is willing to say or do ANYTHING, even if it is detrimental to America, to further his political career.

It is 2005 and we still have 3 years to go - I totally agree the the Main Stream Media is pushing us towards those candidates they wish to see.

Clinton was the favorite of 43 percent of the Democrats polled ... and should be by every clear thinking Republican. She will be a tough as a ripe banana to beat.

I'll vote for him. Let me first say, I hate abortion and yes, I share the same concerns over Giuliani's abortion stance as many of you but lets be realistic, can any president stop abortion? No. The U.S. Supreme Court can't stop abortion. If Roe v. Wade were overturned tomorrow it would not outlaw abortion, it would just give the issue back to the states, where it was pre-Roe. And lets face it, while many of the red states, particularly those in the south, would outlaw abortion, the blue states wouldn't. Abortions would still be continue to occur. Now I believe Roe should be overturned. Its terrible consitituional law and with the right justices I believe it will be overturned. I believe and hope that with Samuel Alito we will have 4 justices that will vote to overturn Roe and I believe there's a decent chance Bush will be able replace Stevens with a conservative to hopefully give us 5 strong conservatives. Giuliani has said he agrees that the president is right to choose strict constructionist without a litmus test so I believe he would do the same if elected. So therefore, Giuliani might be helpful in getting Roe overturned. Of course we don't know if Bush will be helpful with his appointments because nobody ever knows how a Supreme Court justice will vote until they are on the court. As far as the gay issue, Rudy is AGAINST gay marriage. He is however for equal opportunity for gays without discrimination, which is fair. I truly hope nobody hate gays. Remember, hate the sin not the sinner. President Bush has the same position. As far as the gun issue, I don't believe Rudy will push for gun control. He knows better. He knows being Mayor of NYC and POTUS is different. Besides, a Republican Congress isn't going to pass any gun control legislation anyways. Giuliani has been extremely supportive of Bush in foreign policy and I believe he would continue those policies. He has been very supportive of Bush's economic polices and tax cuts so I have no problems there. Finally, I believe that Giuliani has leadership ability beyond equal and that's exactly what we will continue to need beyond 2008. He would make an excellent Commander in Chief. He will be as strong as Bush in foreign policy and on the WOT and that's the most important, overriding issue. Plus, who else realistically has a better shot at beating Hillary? Those who say they would vote third party and give the election to Hillary are losing it. Nobody can honestly say Hillary would be better or equal to Rudy as president. Reagan's big tent anyone? Or how about Reagan negoiating with Congressional Democrats over legislation, saying getting 75% is better than nothing. With Rudy you get 75%, with Hillary you get nothing. With all of this in mind, I will enthusatically support Giuliani for president. Giuliani/Jeb Bush 2008!

We should send Rudy a Hillary defense kit.

It's dangerous to be between her and her insatiable quest for power.
