75% of that crowd has worn a Star Wars or Star Trek outfit

Hey, I represent that remark!

I only dress up in Battlestar Galactica wear, LOL! [Barf Alert!]

No really, I've always watched (whatever season of) Star Trek for the same reasons that I fought to stay awake for the first Apollo moon landing as a little-kid-Army-brat in the middle of the night while on vacation in France:

Part national pride, part scientific curiosity.

It's entertaining to me to imagine Humans in space, traveling the stars. That's what the Toob is supposed to be. Entertaining. Ignore all the liberal themes. Every network show has some theme or another.

9 in 10 own either a phaser or light saber

The other 1 owns a Varon-T Disruptor so watch out!

:^)

p.s. Even the Froggies were impressed by the Moon landing.

Just thinking about the first time Man landed on another planet still gives me goosebumps.

Well then... by your command. Seriesly, I love sci-fi as well. I was an art major in college, I know exactly where my D&D books are, I have all the Star Wars movies on VHS (most on DVD), I enjoyed Next Generation more than the original series, and didn't much bother with Voyager or Andromeda. I've seen a couple episodes of Stargate.

Those commies in the picture just look like they dress up for movie premieres. Look near the soldiers in the pic, one of the protesters IS dressed up.
