Are you a Democrat?
No

A Republican?
No

A Southern Republican?
No

First and foremost I am a conservative. At the current time, the Republican Party comes the closest to representing my views. But that DOES NOT mean I'm a Republican. Far from it.

In the last Presidential election, I voted for George Bush. My vote for him was reluctant as he had done a number of things that I do not agree with (CFR, etc.). But, compared to John sKerry, President Bush was the "best" choice I could make. (I will not vote for a candidate unless they have a reasonable chance of winning. Thus, I didn't vote for Perot.)

President Bush has continued to do things I strongly disagree with. His latest stunt today caving to maniac McPain just about tops the list. But, he's still a much better choice than sKerry.

In the 2006 and 2008 elections, I will vote for candidates I feel will best preserve and protect and project my beliefs as a conservative. Parties be damned!

Re your tagline: It may not improve the quality of FR but it keeps a thread at the top of the list.
