I guess Tim Robbins' "chill wind" has passed, it is now springtime in America, and Americans are once again allowed to benefit from the pearls of wisdom by these scintillating intellects.

They are now high school dropouts (like babs and Cruise). They are still ignorant but I really can't call any of them talented. It's more like luck that got them into their lucrative famous jobs.

In the past, Hollyweird "stars" kep their mouths shut. They used to follow the good advice "two subjects people don't want to hear about at parties are politics and religion". They won't shut up about either one now. They use every opportunity not to push their movies but to bloviate about issues which have NOTHING to do with their jobs. I hate that I, as an RN, can't spew politics at work but I respect that my job is about patient care, not politics. I wish they'd all shut up.

I love FR - you guys get more entertaining as the politics heat up - as we pay witness to the disintegration of the Dummycrat Party.

Actors can't seem to leave their work "at the office" and they become the roles they play.... as does George C. Looney.

He never would have made it in the real world of intelligence gathering - lacks the staying power and his mouth runs too much to keep necessary discretionary secrets.

His persona is more suited to playing Mata Hari.

It's the old Dick Morris Hail Mary pass, (when in trouble, triangulate³), the once trusty play that for eight years kept two clumsy kleptocrats⁴ in the Oval Office and out of the slammer (even as it placed America and Americans in ever-increasing peril.)⁵

That missus clinton has managed, thereby, to stake out Iraqi territory occupied apparently by no one⁶ seems to have escaped her notice. Nonetheless, this constituency of zero is the least of her troubles.

RE: a not-so-modest proposal concerning hillary clinton

Dear Concerned Americans,

Hillary Clinton's revisionist tome notwithstanding, 'living history' begets a certain symmetry. It is in that light that I make this not-so-modest proposal on this day, exactly 64 years after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

The context of our concern today--regardless of political affiliation--is Iraq and The War on Terror, but the larger fear is that our democracy may not survive.

We have the requisite machines, power and know-how to defeat the enemy in Iraq and elsewhere, but do we have the will?

In particular, do we have the will to identify and defeat the enemy in our midst?

Answerable to no one, heir apparent in her own mind, self-serving in the extreme, Hillary Clinton incarnates this insidious new threat to our survival.

What we decide to do about Missus Clinton will tell us much about what awaits us in these perilous new times.
