It isn't about Lebanon, it is about islam. I have an uncle who was a Lebanese Christian. He was a Christian first and American second and Lebanese a distant third. Not so with muslims...they are muslims first, second, and third (if they are true muslims).

I have a business where one of my customers is a Lebanese Christian MD. They are the most gracious family in my school. The children speak 6 languages. They love America, hate Syria, and wish they could visit Isreal if they could. Those are the immigrants all countries want.

To us Lebanese, Lebanese Christian and MD are almost redundant. The Lebanese end up being doctors and engineers, just as Indians in the US are more likely to be computer science majors.
