Vancouver was recently named the world's most liveable city. The vote must have been rigged.
It's very liveable.
Like I said on earlier posts the worst, (Ghetto), area is only two blocks. Otherwise you can go anywhere anytime of the day or night and no agro.
No gun violence other than a couple of Indie gang wars in the 1990's that have settled down since the gang leaders are dead. The Dosanj's being the worst offenders and the last to take the dirt nap. Coke was the cause.
That gang activity was in Surrey. In Downtown Vancouver you can move around unmolested 24/7 and completely unarmed.
In Canada low life is creepy but not dangerous unless you're a user. You have to go out of your way here to get into trouble.
