Kansas City authorities are still trying to unravel the murder of state Auditor Claire McCaskill's ex-husband, who was shot Monday and apparently dumped from his car in a decaying neighborhood.
David Exposito, 64, was found lying on the street, in front of a child-care center. The neighborhood has been the scene of several murders in recent years.

McCaskill is the Democrat who lost the governor's race last year and now thinks can defeat Senator Jim Talent, right? I hope they televise her interrogation by the police (exes are always atop the list of suspects in any murder investigation).

I don't know that she has too much to worry about. Ten years ago her husband was arrested I believe at Harrah's casino in NKC for possession.
Even-so, she still can't beat Talent.

Heh, she lost to the rather boyish looking Matt Blunt. Talent would blow her away.

StarCMC,
Where are you located in Missouri? The reason that I ask is that five police cars went flying southbound down N. Oak Trafficway in Kansas City in near succession, with lights and sirens going, around 1:35pm this afternoon. They passed me going the opposite direction about 2-3 miles north of I-29.
There's nothing about it at www.kansascity.com, www.kansascitychannel.com, or www.kshb.com.
It was an obvious emergency, and if five came from the north, I presume more came from other directions. You would think something would have been written about it.

A co-owner of the day care center, who did not want to be identified, said the violence was nothing new for the neighborhood. He recounted at least three murders within blocks over the past few years. Nice neighborhood for the kiddies. What was the victim doing there, helping the homeless? Conducting a business transaction? No conspiracy necessary, if he simply chose the wrong friends or location that day.

Sorry to disrupt the thread, but I was just wondering. Back to the topic at hand, I don't think her ex-husband was that good of a guy, from what I've read.
