I recently went looking for my old elementary school in California (Salinas), it appears Sanborn Elementary is now Sanchez elementary. They basically took a significant historical name for this very old school and slapped some deceased board members name on it. The reason is that the high population of Latinos could more easily identify with the new name.....BARF!!
