I live behind Flip Spiceland's ear. (or whoever the weather person is today).
They turn to my right and wave at the east coast, they turn to my left and wave at the west coast, and in the meantime, I am trying to get a glimpse of what is behind their head, because that is where my weather is on the map.
No wonder we are self-sufficient cusses.
I am not belittling the devastation (I have been through a couple of smaller hurricanes, a major flood, and two tornadoes. Blizzards I can handle. I stay away from volcanoes and areas of high siesmicity, just because enough is enough.), nor the privations, nor the help the folks of Mississippi gave one another.
I know 90 degree heat and high humidity are uncomfortable, but when was the last time someone you knew froze to death on their doorstep?
