Maybe Novak meant the President jnew who the source was, as in "personally knows him" like maybe his father.

Is it possible that the former CIA President Bush is involved in this whole mess somehow? He did praise Joe Wilson for what he did following the Iraq invasion of Kuwait. Who's to say that Daddy Bush and Joe didn't become friends or that Daddy Bush wasn't introduced to Plame because of his status as former Director of the CIA.

The following little paragraph makes you wonder just what is going on here??
