.unlike the "process" for illegals, the selection process for legal immigration is lengthy and closely controlled (as it ought to be). 5 posted on 12/14/2005 7:41:17 AM PST by indcons ....visa rules prevent H1B visa holders from staying if they lose their jobs.

There are 3.6 million visa overstays that the government (that they will admit to) cannot find, wandering "somewhere" in these United States. Visas and Green cards are handed out with no vetting, or poor clearance (witness, 9/11). We even hire illegals as border agents. NO one is minding the store. NO ONE.

I agree with you on the border situation entirely. It is quite sickening to see the law being flouted like this for short-term political gains.
