Rudy can kiss my a$$.. he aint getten my vote... NY is in full anti gun mode todasy.. we can have an anti gunner like him in the white house-- or in any political office for that matter
I would like to know how many NYers vote strait party ticket, yank the Democrat handle and walk out. That in itself will net her a huge base right there.
LOL Don't worry - they usually flame me for posting this kind of news article. LOL
As a native New Yorker, I take offense at that remark. REAL New Yorkers (not the transplants who live in Manhattan and consider it the center of the universe, and call themselves New Yorkers based solely upon their zip code)are some of the most practical people on earth.
I've lived in several diferent regions in this country (most recently the south) and I've always encountered the same kind of ignorant prejudice that places all New Yorkers in the same categories: as overly-liberal idiots, involved in organized crime, greedy slobs and as pretentious faux-sophisticates forever looking down our noses at everyone else on the planet.
Perhaps i'm being overly sensitive, but it chaps my behind everytime I hear this kind of thing. You want to see people in left field? Take a good look at Boston, which is 10 times worse and can't seem to break the addiction to Kennedys.
"Many adults in the Empire State want a former New York City mayor to run for president in 2008"
AS we care.
New York is a bastion of left-wing liberal Democrats. An endorsement from THEM should be a condemnation in the eyes of most Republicans.
Remember:
Giuliani: pro-gay, pro-illegal aliens, anti-gun and historically anti-Republican = No Chance in Hell of getting a Republican nomination.
Being an anti-gun RINO puke, Rudy MIGHT be good in a crisis, but I think HIS idea of how to handle a crisis is not conducive to a FREE society with a Constitution like we have, particularly where our Second Amendment is concerned.
IMO, he'd probably try and pull a "Chief Compass" (New Orleans) gun confiscation scheme on all law-abiding citizens in response to a big crisis, and THAT, is only ONE (of MANY) reason why he should NEVER be allowed to be President.
Rudi (if he wins the nomination or as the VP candidate) will be more conservative than any Democrat candidate.
He'd carry California easier than Hillary.
That is not saying much and is not that comforting.
Of course alot of those same people then turn around and pump mccain.
Tancredo is also a possibility.
Yes, Rudy could carry California in the general election.
California easily.
ONE issue?
Not only is RINO-Rudy pro-DEATH (at least, where innocent, helpless babies are concerned), he is also pro-sweetpea, and pro-gun control.
In short, he is a TYPICAL Northeast liberal politician, regardless of whether he has an (R) or a (D) after his name.
The hard and fast rule SHOULD be...
No Blue State pukes in ANY office higher than dog catcher, and ESPECIALLY none from the Northeast (R OR D) for Leader of the Free World.
Most of us don't buy that, and in current polls COndi is the only three big heavy weights who loose consistently against hillary.
Any good solid conservative will beat hillary, despite the wining from libertarians and moderate republicans. We've been hearing this nonsense for years, we need to nominate a moderate, wah wah wah.
Conservatism works every time its tried, enough said.
Pat Robertson even wants Rudy in the White House...go figure
I decided many years ago that I'd never again vote for a democrat, but I might have to change my mind if it would come to a choice between those two.
With Giuliani as President, the Republicans in the House and Senate wouldn't be in a position politically to thwart gun control initiatives on his part. Too much downside to openly opposing the President of your own party.
On the other hand, Republicans could, would, and should oppose Hillary making the same proposals. Plus, with Hillary being justifiably despised by Republicans, pressure could be maintained on the Republican Congressmen and Senators to fight her.
Lets not forget this man is an adulterer....
That'll fly over real well with value voters and evangelicals..
Of course, that's a POSITIVE from the demonRAT perspective, so maybe he'd pull votes from Hillary, huh? :)
