Here we go again. Let's see, he is old, he is a white guy, has he written any books? Where is the Hollywood elite?
Arranging the murders of 3 people ... no mercy from my perspective.
But, hey he is enjoying yard time with Scott Peterson, what a group!

"Prison officials are not expecting the same crowds drawn by "Tookie" Williams, but note Allen is attracting attention."
the hollywood elite and others will gladly protest executions, as long as there's camera time for them..they have no time for the "little people"...where are their convictions now?

There is just something so wrong to call these folks celebreties. That must make the Hollywood elite feel mighty special to be lumped in with the likes of these animals. The following deserves clemency:
A Glenn County jury found him guilty of three counts of first-degree murder with special circumstances and one county of conspiracy to murder in the slayings of 27-year-old Bryon Schletzwitz, 17-year-old Josephine Rocha, and 18-year-old Douglas White. The three were killed for either testifying or agreeing to testifying against Allen in the case that put him in Folsom. There he was serving a life term for murdering 17-year-old Mary Sue Kitts in 1974 because she knew of his involvement in a burglary. Allen has been on San Quentin's Death Row for 23 years.

Oh is that not the question. He doesn't have the same draw. He is not black, he was not up for the that prize, he has not written children's books.
The problem with all of this, that it takes so many years from trial, sentencing, and the administration of judgement.
If I were a CA resident I would be embarrassed by that and do all I could to change that part of the system. Way to long. Witnesses die. Family member's seeking justice might die .. it is just to long.

But does it make sense to take a 75-year-old diabetic out of a wheelchair and strap him to a gurney to execute him, instead of just letting him die?" asked actor and death penalty opponent Mike Ferrell. Make perfect sense except that it should have been done 24 years ago.

On the bright side execution will cure his heart problems.

[D]oes it make sense to take a 75-year-old diabetic out of a wheelchair and strap him to a gurney to execute him...?" asked ...Mike Ferrell. He's making a point. Why not just shoot him in situ?
To: Former Military Chick
Oh wait a minute. He's white? Hey don't kill that guy. Give him a NYT paper and send him to finishing school.
I love white killers. They are the best, but I don't like black killers cause they is the worst.
Tookie was executed rightly so because he was black, but this guy should goes free cause he's a white guy who just done phuk-ed up a widdle.

Looks like we have another about to be executed that might become the poster child of the left/anti DP folks.
Just to put into perspective of who he is:
A Glenn County jury found him guilty of three counts of first-degree murder with special circumstances and one county of conspiracy to murder in the slayings of 27-year-old Bryon Schletzwitz, 17-year-old Josephine Rocha, and 18-year-old Douglas White. If the state can't execute a man who has killed innocent people from prison while serving a life sentence without parole for murder, then no one is safe."
Fom this article
The only thing inherently wrong with the death penalty is that it is delayed too many years.
Solution?
Upon conviction, allow one appeal and that being denied, execute the following day.
Angioplasty indeed!

well, on a recent radio show, i heard a female caller call in who said that at the very least these men should be allowed a final conjugal visit. yes, the host asked her if she would volunteer and yes, she said she would. listening to her entire couple of minutes left no doubt she was a kerry supporter, need i say more. btw, i would let her have her conjugal visit with peterson, manson, tookie, whatever, with the hope that they get to do to her just as they did to the other victims. poetic justice.
To: Former Military Chick
He is 75 years old, has suffered a stroke and has heart problems, but he is still scheduled to be put to death by the state on January 17th. Clarence Ray Allen has grown old on death row. He's been at San Quentin since 1982. Death penalty activists say his execution would be an injustice. "...does it make sense to take a 75-year-old diabetic out of a wheelchair and strap him to a gurney to execute him, instead of just letting him die?"

The difference between this 75-year-old diabetic in a wheel chair and say another 75-year-old diabetic in a wheel chair..is this old 75-year-old diabetic killed three young people. Call Dr. Krevorkian.

Would you mind elaborating where you are being sarcastic and where you are not? I agree that the media treats the races differently on this matter but I disagree with some other of your statements if they are not satirical.
