I think that the Aussies may be in for a "two-fer" here: a beat-down on the "Religion of Peace", and the restoration of their right to keep and bear arms.
I wouldn't bet on it. The politicians tend to view the folks that elect them to office as just so many knuckle dragging mouth breathing peasants.
The political class will do everything that they can to 1. keep the beat down of the muslims from happening & 2.portray anyone who wants a firearm to defend themselves from the bloody minded jihadis that are getting excuses made for them by the politicians as murderous neanderthals who are out to overthrow the government.
You can bet money on it.
