I used to work with a guy who cut two fingers off with a table saw. Yes, they were able to sew them back on.

That is why it is good to use a table saw ,they give a clean cut

I cut the end of my right index finger off with a miter saw. It did NOT leave a clean cut.

We were only able to find a small piece of bone. The rest was chewed up.

I won't do that again. DUMB.
